Critical reflection
Within this section there are a number of scenarios that can be reviewed by any learner in practice to support the development of critical thinking skills. As a learner you can critically review these using the proposed Borton’s Framework (1970) incorporating these main areas of questioning : i.e. What, So What and Now What, though you can utilise any other framework for reflection.
Many of the scenarios relate to nursing in general practice though apply to caring for people in any care setting. These can be completed as an individual or with a group of peers and can be shared with your practice supervisor, practice assessor or appropriate university representative to demonstrate your ongoing learning and reflection.
